Calf Implants

Calf implants or calf augmentation is a poular procedure that will create a cosmetic fullness in the lower leg area. Calf implants are best suited for lower leg sculpting and can also correct muscle imbalance as a result of both physical and congenital defects such as clubfoot, spina bifida, polio and disproportionate calf development.   The calf implants are made of a solid but soft silicone and once inserted they look very natural.  The shape and size of the implant can be tailored to the specific requirements of the patient.  As with all surgical procedures, there are associated risks with the calf augmentation procedure  including bleeding, infections, DVT and malposition.

For more information on calf augmentation, please click on the heading above or contact our clinic on 9508 9508.

Macrolane is a Hyaluronic Acid filler for soft tissue areas of the body including buttocks, calves and breasts.  It is performed under local anaesthetic and will leave no scarring. In realation to Breast Augmentation, Macrolane can only be used for patients wanting a small Breast Augmentation, usually one cup size. Currently, to administer Macrolane to patients, the clinic would be required to obtain TGA approval on a case by case basis.
